Modern design properties listed across England and Scotland

Five contemporary residential properties have been listed for sale across England and Scotland, ranging from £415,000 to £1.8 million, according to estate agents.

In Barton, Lancashire, north of Preston, a property built in 2020 is listed at £850,000 through House & Heritage. The timber-clad residence features three double bedrooms, a dressing room, and an open-plan kitchen-living-dining area on the first floor with access to a paved terrace and annexe. The listing follows recent development activity in the Preston area.

In Arkesden, Essex, west of the M11 motorway and north of Bishop’s Stortford, a five-bedroom property with white-rendered cubic blocks and timber cladding is on the market for £1.8 million through The Modern House. The property features an inverted layout with bedrooms on the lower ground floor and living spaces on the upper level, along with a study and gym-games room.

Urban markets

A five-storey townhouse in Manchester’s Spinningfields district is listed at £1.25 million through Savills. The property includes an integrated garage, three bedrooms across multiple floors, and a roof terrace. The property features an electric gate system and spans five floors.

In Sydenham, London, between Sydenham Woods and Dulwich Woods, a two-bedroom first-floor apartment is available for £585,000 through The Modern House. The flat is part of a nine-unit block constructed using a Danish brick-and-tile system, with solid wood floors and access to a communal roof terrace and secure bicycle storage. Despite recent challenges in buyer demand, new developments continue to enter the market.

Scottish market

In Glasgow’s Queen’s Park area, south of the River Clyde, an end-of-terrace timber-clad townhouse is listed at £415,000 through Rettie. The three-bedroom property includes three bathrooms, an open-plan living-dining-kitchen space, off-street parking, and solar panels. The property represents a contemporary interpretation of the city’s traditional Victorian terraces.

The listings reflect continued activity in the design-focused residential property sector across multiple UK regions, with properties incorporating features such as energy-efficient technologies including solar panels, though at varying price points depending on location and specifications.
